10 Welcome to the Diary of a Black Woman podcast, where we pray bold prayers, walk in bold faith, and expect a bold God to show up. I'm your host, Connie Morris, and we open every episode with the same unshakable confidence Jabez had in 1 Chronicles 4.10. Lord, bless me indeed, enlarge my territory, let your hand be with me, keep me from evil, and keep me from causing pain. And the Bible says, God granted his request. So if you're here today, get ready, because we're praying big, believing big, and walking in everything God promised. Let's begin.

01 Welcome back to the Diary of a Black Woman podcast. We're on episode eight, The Protection of God, Psalms 91 in the year of shaking and glory. This is from our series, 2026, the year when heaven and earth intersects. I'm your host, Connie Morris, and I'm so glad that you're joining me. In this episode, we step into one of the most comforting, stabilizing, and powerful promises God has given his people for the time of shaking. At Psalms 91, the protection of God in 2026. Because let's be honest, when heaven intersects earth, when shaking increases, when separation takes place, when God exposes and elevates, The enemy gets desperate, but God is not leaving his people exposed.

57 He has already given us a covenant of protection and is found in the most powerful chapter in scripture, Psalms 91. So why Psalms 91 is the covering for the Hebrew year of 5, 7, 8, 6. And the prophetic meaning of 5, 7, 8, 6 We see what it means, divine boundary, holy distinction, heavenly alignment. God's separating work, the rise of the remnant, and shaking of earth and its systems. But alongside of that, we also see supernatural protection for those who dwell in God.

37 Psalm 91 says, in the secret place. 587, 586 is not only the year of shaking, it's a year where God covers his people while shaking everything else. Psalms 91 is your insurance policy, it's your shield, it's your hiding place, it's your divine sanctuary. God is not calling you to fear the shaking, he's calling you to abide. Psalms 91, the prophetic promise for 2026. Let me get a sip of water. Psalms 91.1. Let's go through it. Psalms 91.1. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

19 The key, this is a key to 5, 7, 8, 6. You cannot survive shaking outside of the secret place. So God's giving you the kind of like the access code, to protection for 2026. We see here, Psalms 91, you have to stay in a secret place. Let's go to Psalms 91, two. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress. He said, your words matter in 2026, your declaration becomes your defense. And so you have to say it. It's like a shield too. So you're in a secret place and you're speaking the secret code language, right? Psalms 91.3, it says, surely he should deliver you from the snare of the fowler. What does that mean?

04 Trap set by people, trap set by the enemy, trap set by the systems, and trap set in silence. God will deliver you. So we see that we're protected again. It says the system. So we know the system. And if you ever, like I just shared with you, you thought you had the promotion and they snatched it from you, that's the system stealing. And I won't get my sevenfold return. Amen. Let's go to Psalms 91, five through six. You will not fear the terror by night, nor the pestilence that walks in darkness. 5786 is a no fear year. Fear cannot follow you into new levels.

45 You got to declare that with you. Clear that with me. 5786 is a no fear year. It cannot go with you into your new level. Psalms 91 7, a thousand may fall at your side, but it will not come near you. This is distinction. Remember he said God drew a line in the sand. It will not cross that line. The theme of 5, 7, 8, 6 in one verse. This is distinction. If you're on this side of the line, if you forgot, you are protected. You can't straddle the line. You can't be lukewarm on the line. You have to make up your mind on what side of the line you're going to be with. Let's go to Psalms 91 11.

26 He will command his angels concerning you. You will have supernatural assistance. You will not walk alone. I love this. This is why it's important for the promise of Psalms 91 in our year of 2026, the year of shaking. Let's continue. Psalms 91, 14, because he has set his love upon me, therefore what I deliver him. Wow. When you love him, God knows when it's real love. He said, I will deliver him. It's like a personal invitation for God to come to your rescue. You know, he has all the angels. He has so much help. He doesn't have to come. He can send someone. That's just as good.

09 But he says here, I will deliver you. It's a personal rescue from the Father. It says your love for God becomes your shield. So remember, when you love him, he protects you. When you dwell in that secret place, when you follow Psalms 91 and do what the word says, you are going to be protected in 2026. Psalm 91, 16 tells us that with long life will I satisfy him. You will live to see God's promises unfold. He said, I will satisfy you with long life. If you're watching the news, we're seeing people are dying left and right, and they're not even living a long life. We're not breaking any records on old age lately, have we?

50 You know, so God says, long life, I will satisfy you. What is God protecting you from in 2026? That's a good question. Like with all this time, 91, I'm feeling so protected. But what am I being protected from? Protected from fear, confusion, deception, hate, emotional, being overwhelmed emotionally. The wrong voices, the wrong people in danger, demonic agitation, harm in transition. Come on out. You're going to get to the other side. We're not without any harm, hurt, or danger coming now you. Spiritual exhaustion. Hello. Assignment sent to distract or destroy. Psalm 91 is heaven's guarantee. I will not only shake, I will shield.

33 Isn't it good to be on the right team? Because if you're on the wrong team, you're shaking, you ain't got no shield. Come on now. So how do you live under God's protection in 5786 in the year 2026? Number one, you dwelled in a secret place. Your safety is connected to your intimacy. Stay aligned with God's voice. Protection requires obedience. How can he protect you if you're going to decide to go the opposite way? He said, we're going to go right. Move when he moves, right? Move when he moves. If you're moving to the right and he's moving to the left, you're not protected. So pay attention. Number three, keep your spiritual oil filled. That seemed to be the running theme. Don't be running on empty. Emptiness is dangerous in the year of shaking.

15 What does that look like to be filled? Pray, pray, pray, read your Bible. You're filling your oil. Do you ever ride? How often do you fill your gas tank? Remember that. You got to fill up your Holy Spirit tank. Let's go. Four, walk in wisdom. Permanent protects you. Five, cut off access to the enemy. 786 is a year to not to entertain old strongholds. Come on now. That's how he keeps us trapped. You think we got to go back to the old stronghold, that old cycle. You know what happens? That delay, that delay, the foolish virgins delay. They weren't ready. They weren't ready and they got left. Don't let that be you. Number six, stay under spiritual covering. Isolation makes you vulnerable. So don't isolate.

01 Be around those believers that are like-minded declare Psalms 91 daily. You have to activate your mantle with your mouth. The remnant carries a different protection. In 2026, the remnant will come on out. Once you know how to pray Psalms 91 and you get an understanding of what it means, not that you just saying it, that you actually obeying it because there's some obedience in there, right? And so you have to stay in that protection and that shield of obeying the voice of God, staying close to him, hungering after him. And what will happen in that protection?

41 You will walk through danger untouched, staying in storms unshaken, walk in clarity when others are walking in confusion, carrying peace when others carry panic, experience angelic protection. See divine reversals, and witness miracles. Why? Because the remnant is hidden in God. So this is your divine protection mandate. You are not entering 2026 vulnerable. You are entering covered. You are not entering 2026 alone. Angels go before you. You are not entering 2026 afraid. God has already spoken about your protection. Psalms 91 is not poetry, it's covenant language.

28 So let's declare this authority in this prophetic decree. Repeat after me. I dwell in a secret place of the Most High. I am covered by the shadow of the Almighty. No evil should come near me. No plague should come near my dwelling. Let's pray. Father, thank you for the covenant of Psalm 91. Thank you for covering your people during the shaking, the separation, and the awakening of 5786. Hide every listener under your wings. Encamp angels around their homes. Protect their minds, their hearts, their steps, and their destiny. Let no weapon prosper against them. Let no traps secede against them.

11 Let no fear dominate them. We walk into 2026 with confidence because you cover us. In Jesus' name, amen. Family, thank you for spending this time with me today. I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future, then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

40 I will be found by you, declares the Lord. Beloved, God has a plan for your life, a real one, a good one, and as long as you keep seeking him, you will find him even from the hidden places. I love you. I'm praying for you and I'll meet you next time.
