2026:Heavenly Interruptions: Ep. 11: When God Breaks Into Your Plans

1:01 Welcome back to Diary of a Black Woman podcast. We're on episode 11 of 2026, the year when heaven and earth intersect. Your host, Connie Morris. Today, we're going to be discussing heavenly interruption when God break into your plans. We all know when God steps into our plans, he can rearrange everything. For a minute, it looks like, oh my gosh, did I miss the Lord? And God said, no, you didn't miss me. You just misjudged me. And so I have something better. And so he will begin to be steering up things in your heart because you'll know when it's not right.

1:41 But if 2026 is a year when heaven intersects earth, then episode 11 will reveal how and why. The heavenly interruption when God breaks into your plans. One of the trademarks of a prophetic year, especially in the Hebrew year of 5, 7, 8, 6, is that God interrupts the natural with the supernatural. This is not a year where life will go according to your schedule. This is a year when God's hands. Will break into your timeline. Because destiny requires divine interruption. I love that because we have our schedule and then God has a schedule.

2:25 And his schedule, he's so patient. He waits till we are mature enough to handle those big things that we've been praying for. And I just want to believe that this is a year where the interruption will not be a negative because it's God, but it'll be a positive, an answer prayer to all the things that we've been believing God for. So let's continue. The Hebrew year 5, 7, 8, 6, the year of divine disruption, it carries an imagery of heavenly disruption, earthly redirection, God stepping into time, course correction. Divine interruption, heavenly intervention, and God overruling human plans.

3:09 This is a year where heaven says, I'm stepping in now. You know, if you ever had a, I'm a big sister, right? So if you are a little sister or you a big sister, you can understand this. You know, your little sister will go out and get into all kinds of trouble. And she just, she's bold and bad enough to say, you know, you messed with me, my sister going to get you, right? And she knows she can't handle it, but she knows I won't let nothing hurt her. And so I don't fight her battles, but I'll step in to stop her from self-destructing or causing more drama than necessary, right? So I believe that God wants to do that. He's our heavenly father. He's our Abba.

3:50 And you ever had your father step into some things? You know, when I was younger, I went, it was elementary. I remember this as clear as day. The girls didn't like me. We moved to a new neighborhood and somehow the little girls, I call it the girls from the hood, didn't really like me, not realizing that I was from the hood too. And so they all wanted to fight me because when you're in a different neighborhood, you have to kind of prove who's the baddest, right? And I'm not really a fighter. I'd rather just be your friend. Never, never was a fighter. And so I remember running home and the girls are in hot pursuit after me. I'm running home and locked on the door and I must've knocked in a way where my father said, what's going on out here, right? And he comes out and I said, dad, they want to jump me.

4:33 He said, no, they're not going to jump you. So he made them get in a circle And he says, you're going to fight them one-on-one and you're going to kick their butt. Otherwise, I'm going to kick your butt. I was like, and that was kind of a nice language, right? And I said, oh my gosh, I got to fight. So I had long hair. So I took my hair and I put it up in. In a bun. And because my dad was watching, because he's not going to let nothing harm me, right? He makes sure that one-on-one, one-on-one, it wasn't, it was like six of them. So I, with number one, I went with the big mouth first, because she's the starter. Then I went to the second one, then the third one. By the time I got to the third one, the rest of them didn't really want anymore. They were like, you know, we're good.

5:15 We're not going to mess with her anymore. We're good. And that's fair, right? And so when I got, I was done. I was like, oh Lord, thank you. I didn't think I said, oh, Lord, but I said, okay, Dad, thanks. Thanks for that. So I went in, took a shower. Next day started. Well, apparently there was one more girl in the group that did not get the memo that you don't mess with Connie because Connie's dad's going to make you fight her. And we really don't want to fight. We just really want to scare her. And so here this girl comes up and she's like trying to want to start a fight. Well, now that I've already kicked three girls, but I figured like, hey, one more ain't gonna hurt. Next thing you know, I'm on top of this girl and I'm just punching her. And then the teacher took me off of her because she knew the kind of the story of what was going on.

5:58 And she was bleeding from her face. You know, she was a light skinned girl and I wasn't trying to hurt her. I just want her. I wanted to like show that that wasn't just a fluke that I kicked your butt in front of my dad. I am a fighter. I just don't like to fight. Right. And so when my dad stepped in, I felt very empowered. So think about it when your dad steps in to the picture. Right. And he says, OK, now enough is enough. He steps in and he begins to fight your battle. That's the imagery that I picked up, that God will disrupt our paths, that we're in the wrong way. He's going to say no, because God may have been quiet in your life. He might say, no, I want you to go this way. He's going to disrupt our toxic cycles. You know how we get in these cycles, you know, our thinking is a cycle.

6:43 Our life is a cycle and we can't seem to break that cycle. You know, same friends, same thing we do every day is a cycle. God says, I'm going to interrupt that cycle. I'm going to interrupt that stagnation. If you feel like you're on pause, I'm going to interrupt your settling. A lot of times, if we don't hear answer fast enough, we settle for just the least. Come on out. We settle for, I like to say the okie doke. The okie doke is just any old body, any old time, just so I won't have to be alone. God interrupts distractions. What about the distractions that you have been letting interfere with your relationship with God? God interrupts relationship that derailed destiny. What about the wrong girlfriend? What about the wrong boyfriend?

7:25 I'm talking to male and female, whoever's listening, but what about the wrong relationship? God interrupts plan that you made without him. If you didn't include him in that plan, guess what? He is going to disrupt that. Heaven is not passive this year. Heaven is going to get involved with your life. Are you ready for that? This is the third day of our first year. So how's it going so far? I'd love to hear from you. Number one, it says biblical patterns of heavenly disruption. So God is known to interrupt in the natural to bring on his supernatural. And so right now I have some biblical examples on how God can disrupt your life for the good. So Mary, we know Mary, a divine assignment interrupts ordinary life.

8:15 That's found in Luke 1. Mary was planning a wedding. She's with the man of her dreams. And then God interrupts with a calling. Mary was chosen to carry Jesus. If you know the history back in the day, that that wasn't a good thing to be pregnant without a husband. So, you know, God had to talk to Joseph and say, hey, it is true. She is impregnated with the Holy Ghost. But one thing Mary did, if you read her story, is that Mary did not confide with friends about what God was calling her to do. Mary confided with someone who the Holy Ghost told her, go see your cousin Elizabeth. And so Elizabeth at the time was having a miracle baby too.

8:56 She was of years and she was pregnant. And so she was pregnant, but she didn't tell anybody either. So you got Mary in her secret, You got Elizabeth and her secret, right? So Elizabeth had the baby John, right? And so they get together and baby John, John the Baptist, jumped in her womb and Elizabeth was filled immediately with the Holy Spirit. So check that out. God interrupted Mary's life to have her carry Jesus. I think if you look up last year's Christmas story, I really wouldn't detail on that one. You will love that one. Let's go to number two, Moses. Moses was at the burning bush. It interrupts his routine. So what was Moses doing?

9:40 That story is found in Exodus 3. He was out tending sheep. You know, because remember he had killed an Egyptian and so he ran off into the wilderness. And so his job, he just kind of said, okay, I messed up. So he went and hid in the wilderness. And as he hid in the wilderness, God spoke to him through a burning bush. And his life changed from that point on. We see how these divine interruptions, they have a way of shifting and changing our life. Saul to Paul found in Acts 9. The life from heaven interrupts destruction. Saul was on his way to kill Christians. He had the paperwork. He had the right to do it. But however, Jesus, on his way on the road, on the way to do what he was going to do in a negative, heaven interrupted the path and redirected his destiny.

10:32 Saul's name was turned to Paul. Remember, he was blinded for three days. I think it was Ananias was one of the guys who had to go lay hands on Paul. Paul was also filled with the Holy Spirit, all in that divine interruption found in Acts 9. Here in Jonah, I found it. You read the book of Jonah. It's so funny. God gives Jonah a plan. He says, Jonah, I want you to go to Nineveh. And Jonah says, I don't think so. I'm going to go to Tarsus. He didn't want to go to Nineveh, but God interrupted him. He was the man in the Bible found in Jonah. He was swallowed by a large fish. And then he repented inside the well.

11:14 And then he was spit up in Nineveh. And there he went about his business doing what God has called him to do. So even if you're trying to run from your calling, God will interrupt that one. And then the last one is Gideon. Angel interrupt insecurity. That's found in judge six. Gideon was very insecure. He had grown weary because he lost hope in God. So he was hiding because the enemy would come and steal their food. They were playing a harvest and then their enemy would come and steal their food. So he was hiding when he had an experience with God.

11:55 And then God interrupted him. And you got to read the story that he interrupts and changes identity. And then you can watch, if you read Judges 6, watch the transformation of Gideon from hiding to being able to direct his army to go into the enemy's camp and take what was theirs. And so it changes his whole life. And so as we can see here, there's Mary, there's Moses, there's Saul to Paul, there's Jonah and Gideon that God interrupted their life and changed it. Those are only a few, only a few. So every interruption carries a purpose, a protection, promotion, and destiny.

12:38 This is exactly what God is going to do in 2026. So why does God want to interrupt you in 2026? I bet you can answer that. Why does God want to interrupt you? Because you are too important to allow misalignment, for him to allow you continue on the wrong path. He wants you to be on the right path. So God interrupts you to protect you from wrong decisions, from making wrong decisions. He stopped harmful relationships. And he probably hey, just not starting to do it in 2026, you've known God for a long time or even just a short time, the first thing he does is stop off a relationship.

13:20 He makes sure that you see that person for what they are and you make a decision to flee from that relationship. He closes dangerous doors. He breaks ungodly cycles. He removes hidden attacks. He redirects your steps. He positions you for assignment, mature your discernment, pull you into deeper intimacy, and he prepares you for glory. God's interruption is protection, is elevation, and it is redirection. Different ways you can know that God, signs God is interrupting your life in this season. Do you want to know this? 14:03 So how you know, I'm looking at it, and here we go. Sudden endings. When God is disrupting your life in this season of 2026. 5786, sudden endings. A job may end. Relationship collapse. An opportunity shut. This isn't punishment. It's protection. Unexplainable shifts. You lose desire for things that once excited you. Your spirit is transitioning before your life catches up. So a lot of times, like just recently for me, I have a habit of overeating, but I was always a big eater. But as I began to age, I realized that...

14:44 My body can't hold all that food anymore. It just really hurts my stomach. So he just showed me, kind of just began to eat half of what you put on your plate. So you think you're really hungry, just only put half of it on your plate. And I've been doing that. I've noticed that fast enough, and if you're drinking your water and add a little fruit to a balanced diet, it's not going to harm you to eat less in 2026, right? That's called like the fasted life, not starving yourself to death, but not always eating to the full. Amen. Let's go to divine discomfort. You outgrow old environments, old circles irritate your spirit.

15:25 One thing that I found out in this year, 2025, is that the Lord is quickly outgrowing environments. You would deal with a lot of different stuff that you wouldn't normally deal with if it was just you, right? And so God has created this divine discomfort in my life where environments are like, okay, I don't need to deal with that, you know, and then I'll leave. That's not going to look good on your record when you're young, but when you're older and you're in a retired state, you're not looking for someone to be yelling at you, disrespecting you. You know, you just say, hey, this comfort, this environment is getting old real quick.

16:06 And God's doing that on purpose because he needs you to shift into what he has for you. When you're younger, you deal with a lot of stupid stuff, right? But as you get older, you're starting to make wise decisions. What type of boss do I want? What type of environment do I want to work in? I want to work in a healthy environment. You know, I don't want the stresses and then get high blood pressure, you know, or be sick or not wanting to go to work, right? So God creates this divine discomfort in you, in everything. Like you can't seem to find comfort in your regular routine because God is shifting you. Next one, closed doors that seem perfect. God sees what you cannot.

16:47 I just recently, I can go through all these. I don't want to spend a lot of time. But I just recently, I was Passover for a promotion. I was the number one who interviewed the best, who did everything well. Resume was top notch. So my boss called me in there. He says, honey, there's nothing I can say about you did well in every area. I just chose someone else. And the person they chose was not qualified for the position. Right? But that seems wrong, but then it also seems perfect. Unexpected new paths. Doors open you didn't seek. People entering to your life unexpectedly. God is changing everything about what I do and how I do it, right?

17:27 So I went to another interview and that interview was just perfect. It was just so peaceful. And you know, you ever go to an interview and you have all the answers, not being cocky, but saying, I know I'm not stressed. Because when you're not stressed, you're not pressed for a job. So they call you, they call you. If they don't, they don't. But that right there takes the pressure off of you to actually perform. You just go in being you, right? And then God begins to line things up because that's exactly where he wants you. I'll keep you posted on that position. Holy agitation. You feel unsettled because heaven is during change. You just can't seem to settle in. You just seem restless.

18:09 You're just like, I don't know, what it is. I just can't settle in. I'm not even hungry, you know, because God is steering up something in you. Dreams, vision, and warnings increase. God interrupts the night to speak. He's done that many times. And he did interrupt to explain why I didn't get the promotion, which is so good for a father, isn't it? You don't have to figure it out. You just seek him and he will give you the answers. And he gave me a lot more answers, including some of the things that I'm discussing with you right now. Delays that don't make sense. We know we hate delays. We like immediate and instant gratification.

18:49 But sometimes timing is protection. You ever left the house and if you had left the house a little bit earlier, you would have been involved in an accident because right where you always go, there was an accident. So don't be in a rush all the time. I mean, it's perfection. And then peace and the unfamiliar. Just like I explained earlier, I was at an interview and I just had peace and I just went through it just like nothing. It was like six questions. they asked me and they were writing and it was just powerful. It was just awesome. So when God gives you peace, when everything looks chaotic or peace in a strange place where you've never been before, you don't even know what's around door number one, two, or three. You know, we're always comfortable in our familiar zone, but are we ever comfortable in like an unfamiliar zone?

19:34 When you have peace in unfamiliar spaces, that's God. Your spirit knows it's God. These signs aren't coincidence. They are heaven intersecting your life. What God is intentionally interrupting before 2026 unfolds? Well, we're still in the folding out of 2026. And so what does God want to do with you? Let's write, let's get these going here. Misaligned relationships. Anyone who does your spirit cannot go with you. Assignments that have expired. Your season is shifting. Fears. Fear cannot follow you into a glory year. Hidden idols, God will expose everything you depend on more than him.

20:15 Familiar compromise, I-786 demands holiness. Self-made plans, God is correcting plans. Emotional attachment to old season, He interrupts to break tides and then comfort zone. The elevation requires movement. So how do you respond to these heavenly interruptions? How do you respond to heavenly disruption? Stop resisting. How about that? Stop resisting. What you call disruption, God calls direction. Lean into prayer. Interruption is the birthplace of revelation. Ask God, number three, ask God for interpretation. Lord, what would you have me to do? Is this the wrong way? Have a conversation with God.

20:58 You know, don't just sit there and go, oh, God's moving me. Talk to him. Create a relationship, an intimacy where he can kind of guide you without pulling you, you know? Let go quickly. Delayed obedience delays destiny. Follow peace. Peace is your compass. Embrace the unknown. 5786 is a year of faith steps. surrender your timeline. Your plans are too small for the magnitude of your calling. Maybe you think it's a big deal. Like I did this, I did that. And then God says, we're not going to use that. I'm taking you on a whole different direction. How do you feel about that? Right? And so we see here that God wants us to surrender our timeline.

21:42 That's for me. Is that for you? Repeat after me with these decrees. Father, interrupt my plans with heaven's purpose. Redirect my feet, shift my desires. Close doors not meant for me. Open doors I could never open without you. Cancel wrong assignments. Interrupt every trap. Interrupt every distraction. Interrupt everything outside of your will. In 2026, align me with heaven's agenda. Let's pray. But thank you for heavenly interruptions. Interrupt what needs to stop. Interrupt what is misaligned. Interrupt every plan I made without you. Break in, redirect, reposition, and reorder my steps.
