I'm Yose Connie Morris, And today's episode, episode three, is titled, When God Fights for You. If you ever felt surrounded spiritually, emotionally, or even in your workplace, this episode is for you. Because sometimes the battle you're facing isn't yours to win. God to prove. Exodus 14, 14 reads, the Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still.

1:34 This verse was spoken to the Israelites when they stood trapped between Pharaoh's army and the Red Sea. Fear said, we're finished. But faith whispered, watch what God does next. When God reserves an assignment, he also defends the one carrying it. You don't need to clap back, explain yourself, or prove your worth. Sometimes the greatest warfare strategy is one of silence and stability. God fights for those who move in obedience. When you stand where he tells you to stand, even when it looks impossible, heaven mobilize. Your stillness is not weakness, it's trust. It says, Lord, I don't know how you're doing this or how you're going to do it, but I know you will.

2:21 Real talk. Let's be honest. There are times we've tried to fight our own battles and ended up tired, bitter, or misunderstood. But when we hand the fight back to God, peace steps in. I've been in leadership, in ministry, even in personal relationships. I've seen this happen firsthand, even as a police officer, even as a minister, even going to Bible school. When you step back and let God fight for you and let peace just tells you, peace, be still. It's like Jesus spoke to the water. You will see a different side of God. He does protect his own.

3:02 And sometimes his victory looks different than what we expected. He doesn't always remove the opposition. He positions you, repositions you until they can't touch you. So it's like he's making a table in front of your enemies, and they do not know what happened. Because what happens when you reposition, remember, you're not no longer looking at them. You look in a different direction. You don't want to focus, you know, so keep your eye on the Lord. Some examples from the Bible, think about Deborah and Barak. The eyes were against them, but obedience unlocked supernatural victory.

3:44 Or David standing before Goliath, no armor, no army, just confidence in God. Or Esther walking into the throne room, risking her life, yet the favor of God went before her. In every case, God fought through their obedience. So ask yourself, what battles have I been fighting that God already claimed his own? Am I reacting from fear or resting in faith? And what would change if I truly believe that heaven is defending me right now? It's like, you know, you have a big brother or a big sister. You know, you can talk all that smack.

4:24 Because you know they're not going to let no one hurt you, especially when you see them coming. You know, you're sitting there, you're going to like, and then all of a sudden you see your sister or brother come and you're like, oh, y'all can't mess with me now. You can't mess with me now. That's what God, God wants us to look to him, to count on him in every single battle. Let's pray. Lord, thank you for fighting the battles I can't see. Forgive me for every time I try to fix what only you could finish. Help me to stay still, stay faithful, and stay focused. When the pressure rises, remind me that you go before me and surround me. In every attack, let my peace be proof that you are my defender.

5:05 In Jesus' name, amen. Let's decree I will not fear what comes against me. God fights for me and no weapon formed against me will prosper. My stillness is my strength, my peace is my protest, and my obedience is my victory. When God fights for you, you don't have to push doors open or pull people in. You have to stand still long enough to watch Him work. You might not see the victory yet, but trust me, the angels are already on assignment. This has been Diary of a Black Woman podcast.
