Where is My Bride: Ep 7: Midnight Cry: Enter the Wedding Feast

I'm your host, Connie Morris, and we've come to the final part of our prophetic series, Where Is My Bride? Episode 7, The Wedding Feast, Enter In. We've walked through the stains of sin, the wrinkles of compromise, the danger of counterfeit coverings, and the shame of being unprepared. But we've also seen the hope the bride made ready, clothed in fine linen, bright and clean. Now we lift our eyes to the promise, the wedding feast of the Lamb.

1:31 The midnight cry has sounded, the bridegroom has come, and the ready bride enters. Beloved, this is a culmination of our faith, not just attending church services, not just serving on committees, not quoting scripture. Not standing, but standing face to face with Christ, entering into eternal joy, intimacy, and union with him. This is what we are preparing for, the wedding feast. Let's go to scripture. Matthew 25, verses 6, 7, and 10. It reads, at midnight, the cry rang out, here's the bridegroom. come out to meet him.

2:11 Then all the virgins woke up, trimmed their lamps. The bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet and the door was shut. Revelation 19, 19 reads, blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the lamp. Let's just take a pause here. You ever been invited to a wedding? Isn't that important? I was just thinking about that before I read this. This episode, being invited to the wedding. I'm thinking, what should I wear to the wedding? I'm not in the wedding, so I don't have to, you know, not the bride. I'm a guest to the wedding, right? And so it's still just as important, but to be invited is important too.

2:56 And so we are all invited. How many have accepted the invitation to be at the wedding supper of the Lamb? Some are holding on to it, waiting to the last minute. Some already got their invites in saying, hey, you know, I'm ready right now. Come and take me. They're ready for the rapture. And Jesus is saying like, wait a minute, I'll let you know when I come because I don't know when I'm coming, but I want you to just be ready. You know, so we see in Matthew 25 that the cry rang out that here comes the bridegroom. We see here in Revelation 19 that it is a blessing to be invited. But these verses bring us to the moment of fulfillment.

3:37 The midnight cry rings out and only those who are ready rise to meet the bridegroom. Notice something important. All the virgins were invited. We're all invited. But only those who have prepared entered. The difference wasn't the invitation. It was the readiness. Revelations declared a blessing. Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb. Think about that. The greatest celebration in history, no more stains, no more wrinkles, no more shame, just eternal joy, intimacy, and union with our King. The wedding feast is not a metaphor.

4:21 This is not a metaphor we can't afford to overlook. It's our destiny. It's the moment where faith becomes sight and the promises is sure. The bridegroom will come and the prepared will enter in. That is a definite. The bridegroom will come and the prepared will enter in. All the warnings, all the calls for repentance, all the preparation, they lead up to this very moment. Cry at midnight. The arrival of of the bridegroom. For the true bride, this is not a day of fear, but a day of joy. She has allowed the spirit to cleanse her.

5:01 She has kept her lamp full of oil. She has surrendered, compromised. Washed her garments, and clothed herself in righteousness. You see the things that she had to do? We always say, would Jesus do it? No, there's some things you have to do. And when the moment comes, she rises with confidence and she enters with her bridegroom. This is our hope, our calling, our destiny to live every day in light of the coming wedding feast, to rejoice even now because the groom is faithful and his promise is true. So let's think about some things. Do you live ready of awareness daily that Christ will return at any moment.

5:44 One thing that keeps bringing out to my heart is at midnight, at midnight, at midnight. Many times at midnight, we're sleeping. So how do we know at midnight? Would you be ready? I just believe just as Jesus. The Holy Spirit, Father knows how to get in contact with us when we're doing bad, good, or ugly to stop us. He can also whisper to us to be ready at midnight. He told the children of Israel how to cut the lamb, how to cook the lamb, and how to put the blood on the doorpost, and how to be dressed fully. Come on, they were fully dressed and ready to go at that time. And so I just believe he would do that to his children.

6:25 I know when you get this podcast, people had a calling that Jesus was coming on September 24th, and that some people are going to still be here on that day on September 24th. And so this message might still be, this message will be new to those who will be coming to the podcast, that just as Jesus has whispered to us in the past about, he don't know when he's coming, but I know that just as he has whispered in the past in our ears about, especially for the prophets, I'm not saying I'm prophetic, but he talks to me. That he can prepare the Israelites for not to get, they say, tell them, he told them to be fully clothed while they're eating the lamb.

7:12 You read in Genesis that he, that they were preparing for their exodus, that I think that he can tell us, he can tell us be fully clothed from coming at midnight or whatever time of day that he's coming. He will speak to us as his children. And just because he does things discreetly, it won't be like it won't be a chance where you'll be able to call three friends and make it a podcast episode. It will be just that moment where he will shake you. Get your shoes on. Get your coat on. It's time. You don't have time to be calling people. You're going to podcast about it. Oh, it's going to be time for you to go. He said the twinkling of our eye. So it might just be just that quick. He wakes you up and then you're gone.

7:56 And so the question is, do I live ready? Do I live every day ready for Christ to return at any moment? Am I keeping my lab filled with oil through prayer, the word, and through intimacy? And do I look forward to the wedding feast with joy? Or do I still feel unprepared? Stay prepared so you don't have to get ready. Keep on your ears for God so that he can speak to you when he needs to. Just as you get that inkling saying, don't go down that street or don't go right or don't go to work or don't do this. Those things that he tells you every day on how to run your life as you are in tune with him. I just don't believe that. I just don't believe he would do that. I just don't believe he would do that. And so let's just pray.

8:39 And then after we pray, I want to do closing charts and do some decrees. And then this will be the final episode. And then we're going to, next time you hear my voice, we'll be doing a new episode. I don't know what that is. I think it's going to be misbehaving in the church, but we'll see. We'll see how God moves. So let's do this prayer. So Father, I thank you for the invitation of the wedding feast. We thank you for calling us, cleansing us, and cleansing and clothing us in righteousness. Keep us faithful, keep us watchful, and keep our lamps burning until you come. Let our life be a testimony of readiness and joy so that we may rejoice with you at the marriage supper of the Lamb.

9:26 Let's decree. We decree that I am among the wise and not the foolish. My lamp is full. Our lamps are full. Our garment is white and our heart is ready. When the cry at midnight sounds, see that midnight is up again. We will rise and answer with my bridegroom, with our bridegroom. Blessed are we, for we are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb. In Jesus' name, amen. And I want to do this chart. It says, Beloved, the question of the series has been the same from the beginning. Where is my bride? The Spirit of God is still asking the question today, not because He doesn't know, but because He wants to awaken us.

10:09 He's not coming back for a church that looks the part but misses the heart. He's not coming back for a patched up bride, hiding behind the image and activity. He is coming back for a radiant bride, holy, washed, renewed, and alive in him. The cry at midnight is closer than we think. And when it comes, it will be too late to get ready. We must be ready. So I leave you with this. Don't settle for empty religion. Don't cover the stains. Don't ignore the wrinkles. don't live counterfeit. Let the Spirit cleanse you, press you, clothe you in righteousness.

10:50 Keep your land full of oil. Keep your eyes on the bride because the door will shut. But for those who are ready, joy unspeakable waits. The wedding feast is coming. The bridegroom is faithful. The only question remains is this. When he comes, will he find you ready? And let's decree. We decree that we are the bride of Christ, washed by his blood, renewed by his spirit, and clothed in his fine linen, bright and clean. We decree that every stain of sin is removed, every wrinkle of compromise is pressed out, and every counterfeit covering is stripped away. We decree that our lamp is full of oil, our heart is awake, our eyes are fixed on the bridegroom.

11:32 We decree that we will not be found busy but prepared. We will be found holy, ready, and radiant when Christ returns. We decree that we are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb. And by his grace, we will enter in with joy. The bridegroom is coming, and we will be ready. This is Diary of Black Women podcast.
